New Delhi: The Supreme Court has granted bail to filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambari Bhatt in the fraud case.

A bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi ordered their immediate release from Udaipur jail and directed the Chief Judicial Magistrate to pass a bail order specifying the terms and conditions.

Allegations of fraud worth Rs30 crore
A complaint of fraud and criminal breach of trust has been filed against Vikram Bhatt and Shwetambari Bhatt. The complaint alleges that funds collected for a film project were misused.

Vikram Bhatt and Shwetambari Bhatt have been accused of misappropriating funds worth ₹30 crore. It is alleged that the Bhatt family prepared fake bills in different names and obtained money transfers from the complainant.
