Srinagar: Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma reviewed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness of Army units deployed in South Kashmir, highlighting the need for continuous vigilance and stronger coordination among security agencies. The visit comes as security forces maintain a high-alert posture in Jammu and Kashmir to respond effectively to evolving challenges.

During his visit to hinterland units in South Kashmir, Lt Gen Sharma conducted a detailed assessment of the operational readiness of troops, reviewed ground-level security arrangements and interacted with personnel stationed in the region.
