When the opposition MPs created a ruckus on Wednesday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla got angry. He warned the opposition MPs and said that you are behaving like a road in Parliament. The country is watching this. He said that I will have to take decisive action against those who come to the House with placards. Let us tell you that due to the ruckus of the opposition for three consecutive days, the Lok Sabha has to be adjourned. The monsoon session of Parliament has started from July 21.
During the Question Hour in Lok Sabha on Wednesday, the topic of railway projects in Bihar was being discussed. During this, the opposition MPs created a ruckus over the Bihar voter list revision. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla got angry over the ruckus of the MPs. He said that Parliament is the highest institution of our glorious democracy.
I expect from the MPs that your conduct, behaviour and working methods should be decent inside the Parliament. The people of the country have sent you to raise their voice, their challenges, their expectations and to discuss the issues of the country.
The Lok Sabha Speaker said that your behaviour is the behaviour of the streets. You are behaving in the Parliament. The country is watching this. The country is watching your behaviour. I say again that I will have to take decisive action against those who come to the House with placards. You go and sit in the House and discuss the issues. After this, the Lok Sabha Speaker adjourned the proceedings till 12 noon.
The opposition has been creating a ruckus for three days
The monsoon session of Parliament has started on 21 July. For the last two days, the proceedings of the Parliament have been falling prey to ruckus. On the first day, the opposition created a ruckus over the issue of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. After this, on the second day, there was a ruckus over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list going on in Bihar.
Political battle was seen from inside to outside the Parliament. Opposition members raised the issue of Bihar SIR in the Lok Sabha and created a ruckus. The proceedings could not continue due to sloganeering and ruckus.
