Varanasi: More than one crore devotees are expected to visit Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple in the month of Sawan. This time devotees will be allowed entry from gate number four, Nandu Faria, Silko Gali, Dhundhiraj and Saraswati gate of the temple.
The entry of devotees from Lalita Ghat may be temporarily restricted due to the recent floods in the Ganges.
Start of free e-rickshaw service
Free e-rickshaw service will be operated from Godaulia to Maidagin especially for the elderly, disabled, Divyangjan and children. This service will prove to be extremely helpful for the devotees, especially for those who are unable to stand in long queues.
VIP darshan will be banned
Divisional Commissioner S Rajlingam said that this time there will be no VIP or VVIP darshan during Sawan. Protocol Darshan will be completely banned throughout Sawan. All devotees will have Darshan only by standing in queue and during this time no person should fall into the trap of brokers.
Warning to avoid fraud
The temple trust has appealed to the devotees that if any person asks for money in the name of special darshan or claims to help in darshan on taking prasad from his shop, then he is trying to cheat. In such a situation, devotees should immediately contact the nearest police or temple worker.
Special decorations will be done on every Monday of Sawan
There will be four Mondays in the month of Sawan, on which different decorations of Baba Vishwanath will be done.
1. 14 July – Chal Pratima Shringar
2. 21 July – Gauri-Shankar (Shankar-Parvati) Shringar
3. 28 July – Ardhanarishwar Shringar
4. 4 August – Rudraksh Shringar
Apart from this, swing decoration will be done on the occasion of Purnima on 9 August. This Shringar will be a center of attraction for the devotees.
Arrangement of digital darshan
The Divisional Commissioner said that with the cooperation of Smart City, arrangements have been made for digital darshan of Baba Vishwanath’s aarti and shringar at different places in the Dham complex and the city. Apart from this, online streaming of darshan will also be done on the official YouTube channel of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. This arrangement is for those devotees who cannot reach the temple physically.
Attention to medical facilities
Keeping in mind the safety and health of the devotees, medical teams will be deployed at five places in the temple. There will be a team of two doctors in each shift. Two ambulances will also be available in the temple premises. One of which will have the facility of advanced life support, so that immediate assistance can be given in any emergency situation.
Arrangement of lost and found center
Lost and found centers have been set up at six places in the Dham for the lost and found items of the devotees. These centers will be at the following places.
1. Temple premises
2. Shankaracharya Chowk
3. Gate number one (Ganga exit gate)
4. Gate number two (Saraswati gate)
5. Gate number four (main entrance)
6. Lalita Ghat
Drinking water and other facilities
According to the Divisional Commissioner, glucose/ORS solution, micro refreshments, biscuits, chocolates etc. will be distributed to the devotees, so that the elderly and children can get convenience. Apart from this, additional drinking water counters and jaggery will also be arranged, so that the devotees can feel fresh and energetic.
