New Delhi: The Staff Selection Committee (SSC) has revised the exam date for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) recruitment 2025. As per the revised schedule, the SSC CHSL 2025 exam will be conducted on November 12. Candidates can check the official notice on the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in.
Along with announcing the revised date, the Commission also introduced the self-slot selection system. It will allow candidates to choose their preferred exam city, date, and shift.
Earlier the SSC CHSL exams were scheduled to be held between September 8 and 18.
Official notice reads, "The Tier 1 of Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (CHSLE 2025) will start on 12th November 2025. Progressing further in its candidate-friendly endeavor and mission of facilitating them, the commission has decided to extend the facility of choosing the examination city, date, and shift as per their choice. To avail themselves of this facility, the candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal and exercise their choice for city (out of 3 choices submitted at the time of application), date, and shift."

The Commission has introduced a new facility this year that allows candidates appearing for the SSC CHSL examination to choose their preferred exam city, date, and shift. This initiative aims to provide greater convenience and flexibility for candidates during the exam scheduling process.
The slot selection window opened on October 22 and will remain available until October 28, 2025. Candidates are advised to make their selections within this period to secure their preferred slots.
To choose their exam city, date, and shift, candidates need to follow these simple steps:
Login to the Candidate Portal: Visit the official SSC website and log in using your credentials.
Navigate to ‘My Application’: Once logged in, click on the ‘My Application’ section to view details related to your application.
Access Slot Selection: Within this section, you will find your application status along with an option labeled ‘Select City, Exam Date, Shift’. Click on this button to proceed.

Choose Your Preferences: A new page will open, displaying available cities, dates, and exam shifts. Select your preferred options based on your convenience and availability.

Candidates are encouraged to complete this process promptly, as slot availability is subject to change and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Missing the deadline or failing to select a slot may result in the allocation of a default slot by the Commission.
