Indian Railways to Replace UTS App with RailOne from March 1

New Delhi: Millions of people travel by train every day in the country. Until now, passengers have relied on mobile apps for reservations, general tickets, and platform tickets. However, starting March 1st, the ticket booking system will undergo a major change. The Railways will discontinue the old UTS app and implement the "RailOne" app with new features. This change will affect millions of passengers across the country.

UTS App to Discontinue

Previously, the UTS app was used for general and platform tickets. Many passengers faced difficulties due to technical issues or complex procedures. Keeping this in mind, the Railways has launched the new RailOne app. From March 1st, the UTS app will be completely discontinued and replaced by the RailOne app.

All Features in a Single App

The special feature of the new RailOne app is that it offers all three services: general tickets, platform tickets, and reservation tickets. Additionally, live train status, location tracking, and other important information will also be available on this app. This means there will no longer be a need to download separate apps for different purposes. This will save time and simplify the process.

How to Book a General Ticket

Booking a general ticket using the RailOne app is easy.

• First, open the app, go to 'Journey Planner', and select 'Unreserved' (general ticket).
• Then, enter your travel details in the 'From Station' and 'To Station' fields. If you're in a hurry, you can auto-fill your location by turning on GPS.
• Then, select the train type—Mail, Express, or Superfast. After reviewing all the details, make the online payment.
• Once the payment is complete, the ticket will appear in the 'My Tickets' section, where it can be viewed or downloaded as a PDF.

This new step of Railways is being considered a big change towards making digital ticketing more simple and convenient.
