University of Queensland and IIT Delhi to launch joint PhD programme from July 2026

Online information sessions will be orgainsed on 11 November and 10 December for the students. During these sessions they can get more information about the programme structure, eligibility, and application process.

New Delhi: The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) have announced the launching of Expressions of Interest (EoI) for their Joint Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programme from July 2026.

This joint programme offers aspirants the opportunity to do research under the supervision of leading academics from both institutions. The candidates will also have the experience the academic environments of India and Australia.

A joint PhD degree from UQ and IIT Delhi will be provided to the students upon successful completion.

Only exceptional candidates from various disciplines, including Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Humanities, and Social Sciences can sign their applications. EoIs can be submitted online until 7 pm (IST) on Wednesday, 7 January 2026 on the official website.
