Jaunpur: Four people were killed on Friday after an out-of-control bus overturned in Jaunpur.

Ten passengers sustained serious injuries in the accident and have been sent to the hospital for treatment.

The accident took place near Lakhaunwa in the Baksha police station area when the private bus was traveling from Badlapur towards Jaunpur.

The lives of other passengers were saved with the help of locals.

In another accident, two persons were killed and 11 others were injured on Thursday after two buses collided in Maharashtra's Latur district, a police official said. The incident took place on Tuljapur-Latur highway at 5:00 AM near Ujni in Ausa tehsil, Assistant Inspector Mahavir Jadhav said, as reported by news agency PTI.

"Two buses belonging to travel agencies were involved in the accident. The cleaner of one of the buses and a passenger died. They have been identified as Namdev Suryawanshi (40) and Nitin Devarse (35). The impact caused one of the buses to overturn, injuring 11 passengers from both vehicles," he said.

The injured passengers were rushed to Vilasrao Deshmukh Government Medical Hospital. None of them were critical.

A truck hit a motorcycle in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan on Wednesday evening, killing a woman and her two-year-old son were killed when a dumper police said on Thursday. The woman's husband also sustained injuries in the incident, PTI reported.

The incident took place when Ladu Lal (40) and Rekha Devi (35) were returning home to Kareda village from Bhilwara city along with their son Mukesh. They were visiting a doctor when their motorcycle was hit by a truck from behind near the Mandal-Bhilwara crossing in the Mandal police station area, officials said.

"All three of them were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Rekha and Mukesh were declared dead. Ladu sustained critical injuries and was referred to the district hospital," police said. The dumper truck driver has been arrested.
