UP ANTF nabs Bihar smuggler
Barabanki: The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Barabanki team has arrested a smuggler from Bihar and seized 2 kg 60 grams of illegal morphine from him, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The price of the recovered morphine in the international market is around Rs 4 crore 10 lakh. A Bolero car, two mobile phones and an ID card have also been seized. It is considered a big blow to the interstate morphine smuggling network.
Joint Operation
According to the information, the ANTF team of Barabanki took this action with the help of Muzaffarpur district police station Motipur police of Bihar state. The joint team arrested smuggler Rajesh Tiwari 44 son of Ramnarayan Tiwari resident of Madhopur Madhu police station Baruraj district Muzaffarpur Bihar, whose current address is Sarkar Kumar Tuli Bhimbhar Fasideva West Madati Darjeeling West Bengal, from NH-27 police station Motipur district Muzaffarpur in front of Nariyar Raj Water Park on Sunday night.
Integrrogation Underway
During interrogation, Rajesh Tiwari told that this drug was given to him by a person living in Siliguri, which was to be taken to Chhataini East Champaran Bihar, where another person was to take the goods from him. He had come from Bagdogra in a Bolero car.
ANTF Barabanki's SI Karunesh Pandey, Suraj Singh, Arvind Singh, Manish Kumar Dubey, constables Adil Hashmi, Vedprakash Dubey, Alok Singh, Krishna Kumar Yadav along with Motipur police station team were engaged in the action.
