Uttarakhand: 1 killed, about 14 injured after truck carrying kanwariyas overturns in Tehri

One passenger died in the accident. 14 other Kanwar pilgrims were injured. There were a total of 15 people in the truck and it was coming from Rishikesh to Chamba.

Dehradun: A truck carrying Kanwariyas overturned between Jajal-Fakot on Rishikesh-Gangotri highway.

One passenger died in the accident. 14 other Kanwar pilgrims were injured. There were a total of 15 people in the truck and it was coming from Rishikesh to Chamba.

Police Said
Police force and SDRF Dhalwala team reached the spot from Jajal outpost. 108 Fakot and Narendranagar also reached the spot.

Many people got buried under the truck. They were taken out with the help of JCB.

Injured referred to Narendranagar

15 injured have been referred to Narendranagar and Rishikesh by ambulance. Some injured are also being treated at Primary Health Center Fakot.
