Till now Anand Vihar-Ayodhya Vande Bharat Express was running with 16 coaches. Train 22425/22426 Ayodhya Cantt-Anand Vihar Vande Bharat Express runs between Ayodhya Cantt and Anand Vihar Terminal six days a week except Wednesday. This train covers the distance of 629 km from Ayodhya to Anand Vihar in 8:20 hours.

Preparations for operation of Vande Bharat from Lucknow to Bhopal and Mumbai

The maintenance capacity of trains going from Lucknow to many cities will increase in the next four months. A coaching complex with two lines of washing line and two lines of sick line will be ready by November at the Kanpur end of Lucknow station. After the completion of this complex in December, the railways will be able to run many new trains including Bhopal and Mumbai Vande Bharat.

Preliminary testing of all Vande Bharat trains coming to Lucknow station is currently done at other stations. Lucknow did not have a modern washing line and sick line for the maintenance of a premium train like Vande Bharat Express. Due to this, the operation of the new Vande Bharat Express is being hindered. The railways is preparing a 600 meter long two-line washing line at the Kanpur end.

Along with this, a 200 meter shed is also being prepared. Its civil work is almost complete. Now tracks have been laid in the washing line and sick line. It will be connected to the loop line of platform one of Lucknow station. Meanwhile, the railways will purchase equipment related to carriages and wagons and electrical sections used in the regular inspection of many trains including Vande Bharat in the coaching complex next month.

While the trains will be washed using SCADA technology on the washing line, many kinds of tests including the wheels and AC of the train bogies can be carried out on the sick line. According to a senior official of the Northern Railway Lucknow Division, Lucknow station may get Vande Bharat from Bhopal and Mumbai by December this year. Its racks are being produced in the Rail Coach Factory.
