Kolkata: The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has invited applications for recruitment to more than 27,000 posts of assistant teacher in various schools of the state. This recruitment is for teachers from class 9th to 12th. The application process started on June 16, and today, i.e., July 14, is the last date for online application.

Vacancy details

A total of 23212 posts have been reserved for classes 9th and 10th and 12514 posts for classes 11th and 12th in the recruitment. Candidates should have a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.) with a graduation or postgraduate degree in the relevant subject. At least 50% marks in graduation are required for 9th-10th, and 50% marks in postgraduation are required for 11th-12th.

Age limit

Talking about the age limit, the minimum age of the applicants should be 21 years and the maximum 40 years. At the same time, age relaxation has been given to reserved categories. Like SC/ST is given 5 years, OBC is given 3 years, and disabled (PH) candidates are given up to 8 years of relaxation.

Selection process of candidates

The selection process will have two stages: first, a written test, and second, an interview. The duration of the written examination will be 2 hours, in which multiple choice questions (MCQ) will be asked. The exam will be in English and Bengali, ​​and there is no negative marking, which will make it easier for the candidates to answer.
