Weather: Heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand; Difficulties likely to increase in hilly districts

Dehradun: There is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand today. The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert and advised people to be cautious. Meteorologists said that heavy rains in the hilly districts can increase difficulties. However, the speed of monsoon will decrease in the plains areas, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rains in some areas of Dehradun and Bageshwar districts. Apart from this, strong winds are expected to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers.

Nainital, Champawat and Bageshwar districts may receive heavy to very heavy rains at some places, for which an orange alert has been issued. At the same time, light to moderate rain is expected in Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar and other districts. There is also a possibility of lightning along with thunder.

Light to moderate rain is expected in most districts of the state in the coming days, along with this, a yellow alert warning has been issued for showers and lightning. Heavy to very heavy rains have been predicted in the districts till July 10, while orange and yellow alert warnings have been issued for heavy rains in some districts in other districts.
