Weather: Heavy rains, strong winds with sporadic lightning to continue in Uttarakhand

The Weather Office has issued a red alert for heavy rains in Uttarakhand.

Dehradun: The weather in Uttarakhand has changed today, in which rain and strong winds continue. According to the Meteorological Center Dehradun, there is a possibility of rain and lightning in many districts of the state today, including Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Dehradun and Nainital, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

A red alert has been issued in the state regarding heavy rain. At the same time, there is an orange alert for heavy rain in 12 states of the country. There is a yellow alert for rain in 17 states.

Heavy Rains Prediction

Heavy rains are predicted in many Uttarakhand districts including Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Uttar Kashi, Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Purola, Janaki Chati, Barkot and Devprayag may receive heavy rains.

Dehradun: Today the sky will be mostly clear to partly cloudy. Light to moderate rain may occur at some places in the afternoon and evening. The maximum temperature is likely to be 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 19 degrees Celsius.

Possibility Of Lightning

There is a possibility of lightning and heavy rain with thunder at some places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. There are also chances of gusty winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour in these districts.

Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh: Heavy rain and snowfall is likely in these districts, with snowfall likely in areas above 2500 metres altitude.

Dehradun: The maximum temperature is likely to be 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 19 degrees Celsius.

Pantnagar: The maximum temperature is likely to be 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 22.6 degrees Celsius.
