New Delhi: India is experiencing a mix of extreme weather conditions, with storms and rainfall causing disruption in certain areas, while other regions are grappling with intense heat. The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for rising temperatures, rainfall, and strong winds across several states, including Delhi and Rajasthan. Here’s a detailed forecast for different regions:

Storm and Rain Alert for North-West India

The Meteorological Department predicts strong winds, reaching speeds of 40–60 km/h, across parts of North-West India from May 10 to May 13. Isolated rainfall is also expected in these areas. Meanwhile, heatwave conditions will continue in pockets of Western Rajasthan and Gujarat from May 9 to May 13.

Rising Temperatures Across North-West India

Thunderstorms with lightning are expected in parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala over the next 6–7 days, accompanied by strong winds and isolated heavy rainfall. In North-West India, maximum temperatures are projected to rise by 3–4°C by May 10, after which temperatures are expected to remain steady until May 13.

Heatwave Conditions in the North-East and Central India

In Central India, maximum temperatures will remain largely unchanged on May 8, followed by an increase of 2–4°C in the coming days. North-East India may see temperatures rise by 3-5°C on May 8, with little change expected from May 10 to May 13.

Temperature Outlook for Maharashtra and Gujarat

In Maharashtra, maximum temperatures are likely to rise by 2-3°C by May 9, remaining steady afterward until May 13. In Gujarat, temperatures will remain largely unchanged on May 8 but could increase by 2-3°C between May 9 and May 13.
