Heavy rain alert in UP-Haryana
New Delhi: There has been a sudden change in the weather across the country. Monsoon rains are occurring in most of the states of North India and South India.
Light rain is forecast in Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra and Kutch, West Rajasthan, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu in the next 24 hours.
The water level of Yamuna in Delhi has reached the danger mark. Yamuna water has started entering many low-lying areas of the national capital.
Along with this, water will be released into Yamuna from Hathinikund Barrage in Haryana. With this, the water level is expected to go above the danger mark. The administration has issued orange and red alerts in many areas.
Heavy rain alert
According to Skymet's forecast, Haryana, East Rajasthan, Kerala, North Konkan and Goa and Lakshadweep may receive light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places. Light to moderate rain is possible in Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Odisha, parts of Jharkhand, Marathwada, Gujarat region, western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Light rain is expected in Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra and Kutch, western Rajasthan, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. Coastal Karnataka, South Konkan and Goa, South Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Vidarbha and parts of North Punjab may receive moderate to heavy rain. Light to moderate rain is possible in Haryana, eastern Rajasthan, Kerala, North Konkan and Goa and Lakshadweep with heavy rain at some places.
