New Delhi: With the last week of October, the weather in North India has begun to change. A slight chill is now being felt during the mornings and nights.
From Delhi-NCR to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, people have now switched off their fans and air conditioners. The weather is gradually becoming colder, and people have started sleeping with sheets or light blankets.
Delhi-NCR
The weather in the capital, Delhi, is currently pleasant. Mild sunshine during the day and cool breezes at night are giving people a taste of the approaching winter.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi today will be between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature will be around 17 to 19 degrees Celsius.
Winds will blow at a speed of approximately 5 kilometers per hour in the morning, while their speed may reach up to 10 kilometers per hour in the afternoon. The wind speed will decrease again by evening.
Uttar Pradesh
The weather in Uttar Pradesh is currently undergoing a complete change. Rainfall has begun in several districts. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in many parts of the state on October 30th and 31st.
An alert has been issued for heavy rain and strong winds in Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mau, Jaunpur, and surrounding districts. However, the sky is expected to clear up, and the temperature is likely to rise slightly from November 1st.
This change is due to the last effects of the monsoon system and a Western Disturbance.
Uttarakhand
The weather in Uttarakhand is currently generally dry. A drop in temperature is being recorded in the hilly districts during the mornings and nights. Recent snowfall and rain in the higher reaches of the Kumaon region have increased the cold.
In the plains like Dehradun and Haridwar, the sun is strong during the day, but a slight chill is felt by evening. A significant difference is being observed between daytime and nighttime temperatures, that is, warm afternoons and cool evenings.
Bihar
The Meteorological Department in Bihar has predicted no significant change in temperature over the next 24 hours. Light rain with thunderstorms is possible in some parts of the state.
Maximum and minimum temperatures will remain normal, but a slight chill may be felt during the morning and night. The weather is currently clear in cities like Patna, Gaya, and Darbhanga, but occasional cloud cover is maintaining some humidity.
