New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has once again issued an alert for storms and rain across the country.

According to the IMD, a warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued for June 21 across 23 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Bihar. Wind speeds could reach 80 to 90 kilometers per hour during this period.

Strong storms in the northeastern states could uproot trees. People in hilly states are also likely to face difficulties; those traveling to mountainous regions should keep checking the latest updates from the Meteorological Department. Additionally, there is a possibility of hailstorms in some states.

IMD Alert for 23 States

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain alerts have been issued for 23 states and regions: Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andaman & Nicobar, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Winds blowing at 80 to 90 km/h are expected. People have also been advised to remain cautious of lightning strikes accompanying the rain.

Rain Alert for 35 Districts in Madhya Pradesh

The Meteorological Department has issued a 'Yellow Alert' for 35 districts in Madhya Pradesh. These include Pandhurna, Maihar, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Balaghat, Mandla, Seoni, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Katni, Dindori, Betul, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Bhind, Sheopur Kalan, Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Anuppur, Umaria, and Shahdol.
