Delhi residents are set to endure scorching weather conditions as temperatures remain above normal throughout the week. The capital may witness highs touching 48°C by Thursday, intensifying heatwave concerns.

New Delhi: Delhi is expected to witness extremely hot weather conditions on Friday as the national capital continues to battle an intense summer spell. The minimum temperature is likely to remain around 35 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may climb up to 44 degrees Celsius during the day.

Hot and Dry Conditions to Persist

Weather conditions are expected to stay harsh throughout the day, with temperatures hovering close to 35 degrees Celsius even during the evening hours. Dry winds moving at a speed of nearly 5.22 kmph may offer little relief from the scorching heat. Wind direction is expected to remain around 270 degrees, while gusts could reach up to 12.73 kmph.

The sun rose at 5:26 AM on Friday and is expected to set at 7:08 PM, resulting in prolonged daytime heat across the city.

Temperatures Likely to Rise Further

According to the seven-day forecast, Delhi’s weather is expected to become even hotter in the coming days. The maximum temperature may rise to 45 degrees Celsius on Saturday and further touch 47 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Temperatures are likely to stay between 46 and 47 degrees Celsius from Monday to Wednesday before peaking at 48 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

The continued rise in temperature has raised concerns over severe heatwave conditions across the capital.
