Humid Conditions and Rising Temperatures Raise Heat Concerns
New Delhi: Residents of the national capital woke up to misty conditions on Monday, but the relief was short-lived as temperatures continued to soar across the city. According to the latest weather update, New Delhi is expected to record a maximum temperature of 46°C, while the minimum temperature may settle around 33.8°C.
The scorching heat has once again pushed Delhi into severe summer conditions, with hot and dry weather dominating most parts of the city throughout the day.
Weather officials have predicted no chances of rainfall in the capital today, with the probability of rain remaining at 0%. Humidity levels are expected to stay around 43%, adding to the discomfort for residents stepping outdoors during peak afternoon hours.
Atmospheric pressure in the city is likely to remain close to 100.2 kPa. Meanwhile, the UV index has been recorded at 1.1, indicating relatively low ultraviolet exposure despite the extreme heat.
The sun rose over the capital at 5:29 AM and is expected to set at 7:07 PM, giving Delhi a long and intensely hot day ahead.
The weather forecast for tomorrow suggests little relief from the heatwave-like conditions. Temperatures are expected to range between 36.7°C and 46.2°C, keeping the city under continued heat stress.
Authorities have advised residents to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during afternoon hours, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
