Maninder is a contract employee in the electricity department in Ved Vihar Colony on Railway Road under Dadri Kotwali area. Construction of a four-storey house was going on on a 100 square square plot in Ved Vihar Colony itself. The construction of the house was in the final stage. These days the plaster of the house was going on. It had rained heavily since 3 am on Monday morning. Around nine o'clock in the night, a crackling sound started coming from the house. Hearing this, the people living nearby came out of their houses and came out in the open. Within no time, by around 1 o'clock at night, the entire house fell on the ground like a heap of sand. Thankfully, the house fell towards the vacant land of the irrigation department. Half of the house of Pramod and Deepak adjacent to the house and the balcony of the house on the other side also fell due to the impact.

People say that if the house had fallen towards the colony, there could have been a huge loss of life. The loss in the houses is being reported to be around Rs 1 crore. The people of the locality remained in panic the whole night due to the collapse of the house. The work of removing the debris of the house is being started.
