Pithoragarh: A major road accident occurred in Pithoragarh district, located in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand. On Tuesday evening, a passenger-laden jeep plunged into a deep gorge, killing eight people in the horrific incident.

According to the Pithoragarh correspondent, a tragic road accident occurred in Muwani, Pithoragarh. The incident took place near Bhandari village, where a passenger-laden Max vehicle (likely a Mahindra Maxx) met with an accident. The vehicle was en route from Bokta to Muwani when the mishap occurred.

There was a lot of commotion on the spot

The jeep went out of control and fell into a deep gorge near Bhandari village. There was a lot of commotion on the spot. Local people immediately engaged in relief and rescue work, and the police were informed. Although the police have confirmed the death of 6 people so far, according to local people and eyewitnesses, 8 people died in this accident.

This is also a big reason for the increase in the number

The Max car fell down from the road into a deep ditch, where a rain drain was also flowing. The car fell in the middle of the flowing water, due to which the people in the car and those injured in the accident did not get a chance to come out. This is also being said to be a big reason for the increase in the number of casualties in the accident.
