New Delhi: A major claim regarding the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has surfaced. The Congress party has stated that the party could face even bigger setbacks in the near future.
Amarinder Singh Raja Warring claimed that not only MPs but also approximately 50 MLAs could also quit the AAP. He asserted that the party needs to remain vigilant; otherwise, it could suffer significant losses in a single day.
Warring alleged that such situations arise when money becomes more important than ideology within a political party. He further noted that there were no clear criteria for the selection of Rajya Sabha MPs, a factor that fueled growing discontent.
Referring to leaders such as Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak, he remarked that they lack a direct connection with Punjab. Additionally, he pointed out that there are several names on the list whom the public did not even recognize prior to their selection.
According to Warring, several of the party's MLAs are disgruntled, while others are operating in an atmosphere of fear. He expressed apprehension that if the current situation persists, it could lead to an exodus of MLAs.
The Congress leader stated that this situation serves as a lesson for other political parties as well: transparency and a clear ideology are essential within a party; otherwise, discontent is bound to escalate.
For the time being, this remains a political claim, and no official response has been issued by the Aam Aadmi Party regarding the matter. The situation is expected to become clearer in the days to come.
