Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav is set to begin his PDA Rath Yatra from Rae Bareli on September 24, 2026. The party has planned the campaign around its PDA (Pichhda, Dalit and Alpsankhyak) social alliance message, with the proposed route covering different parts of Uttar Pradesh in the coming months.
According to the scheduled programme, the Rae Bareli visit will mark the first phase of the campaign. The yatra is being projected by the party as an outreach initiative to connect with workers and different social groups ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
As per the proposed schedule, Akhilesh Yadav will leave his Lucknow residence around 11:15 am and reach the Churwa/Bachhrawan area near the Rae Bareli border at around 12:15 pm.
From there, he is scheduled to board the newly prepared PDA Rath for the first time and continue his journey towards Rae Bareli.
Later in the afternoon, Akhilesh Yadav is expected to visit the residence of Samajwadi Party MLA Rahul Lodhi in Harchandpur. A tea meeting with local party workers has also been planned during the visit.
He is scheduled to leave Rae Bareli for Lucknow around 5 pm and return to his residence by evening.
The special campaign vehicle has been designed for political outreach programmes. According to details shared about the rath, it includes facilities such as a hydraulic lift, CCTV cameras, loudspeakers and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The vehicle also carries images of Dr BR Ambedkar and other prominent personalities, along with messages linked to the PDA campaign.
The Samajwadi Party plans to take the PDA Rath to various districts and assembly constituencies across Uttar Pradesh in the coming months. The party has described the initiative as a way to strengthen organisational outreach and interact with supporters before the 2027 state elections.
The detailed route plan and future schedule of the yatra are expected to be announced later.
The launch from Rae Bareli comes at a time when political parties in Uttar Pradesh are increasing their organisational activities ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
