New Delhi: BJP national president JP Nadda has launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that his objective is not to engage in constructive dialogue inside Parliament but to create disruption and prevent the smooth functioning of the House. Nadda claimed that the opposition has repeatedly stalled parliamentary proceedings and is intentionally creating hurdles in allowing important discussions to take place.
Nadda alleged that at the beginning of the Parliament session, Rahul Gandhi and opposition leaders demanded a discussion on the NEET issue. According to him, when the government agreed to hold a debate on the medical entrance examination controversy, the opposition shifted its focus to the Ram Temple issue. He further claimed that when Union Home Minister Amit Shah was ready to respond to concerns related to the Jantar Mantar protest, the opposition again disrupted proceedings instead of allowing a discussion.
The BJP leader accused the opposition of deliberately creating repeated disruptions over the past several days, affecting legislative business and preventing Parliament from functioning effectively. He said the government is prepared to discuss every issue raised by the opposition, but meaningful debate is only possible when the House operates normally and follows parliamentary procedures.

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s statement regarding alleged firing at the Jantar Mantar protest site, Nadda claimed that an incident mentioned in Parliament did not actually take place. He stated that the Union Home Minister is ready to answer all questions related to law and order issues and has consistently maintained that the government is open to discussions on every matter.
Nadda emphasized that democratic institutions function through debate, discussion and accountability. He said that raising public issues inside Parliament is a constitutional right of the opposition, but disrupting proceedings repeatedly goes against the principles of parliamentary democracy.
The BJP president further alleged that the conduct of Rahul Gandhi and opposition parties indicates an attempt to obstruct Parliament rather than participate in meaningful discussions. He claimed that the government has always maintained transparency and has remained prepared to provide clarifications on issues raised by lawmakers.
The political confrontation between the ruling party and the opposition has intensified during the ongoing Parliament session, with both sides accusing each other of weakening democratic processes. While the opposition continues to raise several public concerns and demand debates, the government has maintained that all discussions can take place within the framework of parliamentary rules and procedures.
