Thiruvananthapuram: A political battle has erupted inside Kerala’s Left Front, with long-time allies CPM and CPI heading towards an open confrontation after the alliance’s defeat in the state elections.
The latest clash over the Deputy Leader of Opposition post has brought former Chief Minister and CPM veteran Pinarayi Vijayan into focus, while raising questions over the future unity of the Left alliance at a time when BJP is attempting to challenge its traditional vote base.
