Kolkata: West Bengal’s political landscape witnessed renewed turbulence as Krishna Chakraborty, Mayor of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation and a known associate of former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, resigned from his post. The resignation comes amid widening internal unrest within the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
The TMC is currently facing one of its most serious internal challenges in recent years, with reports of large-scale dissent among legislators. According to emerging details, a significant section of MLAs has aligned with a rebel faction, intensifying the crisis within the ruling party.
