Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has retained direct control over an extensive 29 departments, underscoring his central role in governance. Among the key portfolios under his charge are General Administration, Home, Health, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, Election, Agriculture, and Road Construction. His decision to keep the Home Department signals a strong emphasis on law and order.
Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has 10 departments
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has been entrusted with 10 significant departments. These include Water Resources, Parliamentary Affairs, Information and Public Relations, Building Construction, and Minority Welfare-sectors considered vital for both governance and public outreach.
Meanwhile, another Deputy Chief Minister, Vijendra Prasad Yadav, has been allocated 8 departments.
His responsibilities include Energy, Planning and Development, as well as Prohibition, Excise, and Registration-areas traditionally linked with the JD(U)’s administrative domain.
