Lucknow: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, anger has spread across the country. In view of this serious situation, an important meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) was held at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Taking a big and decisive step in this meeting, the Government of India decided to suspend the Indus Water Treaty. Samajwadi Party (SP) National President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has expressed support for this decision.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, during a brief press conference held at the SP headquarters in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav said that this is not the time to do politics. He clarified that the Samajwadi Party stands with the central government and supports the tough decisions taken for national security. He said that if the government needs to take even tougher steps, then they should be taken. He also justified the decision to stop the water going to Pakistan.
Will also give necessary suggestions to the government
Akhilesh Yadav said that the party’s national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav will participate on behalf of the Samajwadi Party in the all-party meeting to be held in Delhi. He will strongly present the party’s side in this meeting and will also give necessary suggestions to the government.
Important issue raised during the press conference
Akhilesh Yadav raised another important issue during the press conference. He said that fake news and inflammatory content are spreading rapidly on social media, which can become a serious threat to national security. He appealed to the central government to keep a close watch on social media and immediately stop any such content which may pose a threat to the security of the country.
Standing with the government in difficult times – SP
Apart from this, he criticized the Agniveer scheme of the Center and demanded to stop it with immediate effect. He said that to make the country’s army strong and permanent, the youth should get permanent appointment. Indicating standing with the government in this difficult time, the Samajwadi Party said that national unity and security are above politics.
