Akhilesh Yadav Reaches Raebareli With PDA Rath, SP Cadres Line Up for Grand Welcome (Img: X/ @SamajwadiPArty)
Raebareli: A large number of Samajwadi Party workers gathered in Raebareli as party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s PDA Rath arrived in the district on Thursday. The visit marks the beginning of the SP’s outreach campaign ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
The specially designed PDA Rath reached Raebareli amid enthusiasm among party cadres, people assembled in large number along the route to welcome the SP president. The campaign vehicle is part of Akhilesh Yadav’s strategy to connect directly with party workers and supporters across Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Yadav started his journey towards Raebareli from Lucknow and reached Churua village in the Bachhrawan area, where he boarded the PDA Rath. The rath then moved towards Raebareli city as part of the scheduled programme.
The SP chief is also scheduled to meet party MLA Rahul Lodhi and interact with local leaders, workers and organisational members during his visit. The programme will conclude with a public gathering at the Government Inter College (GIC) ground in Raebareli.
The PDA campaign refers to the party’s focus on Pichhda (Backward Classes), Dalit and Alpsankhyak (Minority) communities. Through the rath yatra, the party aims to strengthen its grassroots connect and engage with workers ahead of the upcoming state elections.
The choice of Raebareli for the launch has drawn attention as the constituency is represented in the Lok Sabha by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and has traditionally been associated with the Congress.
SP cadres reached different locations in Raebareli to welcome Akhilesh Yadav and participate in the programme. Party workers raised slogans and gathered around the route as the PDA Rath moved through the district.
The Raebareli visit is being seen as a major public outreach exercise by the Samajwadi Party as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
