Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) Supremo Akhilesh Yadav held a press conference in Lucknow on Monday and sharply targeted the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He said, "The BJP has considered democracy its property. Everything from the administration to the commission is under their control." Akhilesh warned that "the game of dishonesty and deceit" has already begun before the 2027 assembly elections.
"Massive irregularities in the voter list"
Akhilesh Yadav began his statement with the irregularities in the voter list. He said that complaints are being received from several districts that the names of Samajwadi Party supporters have been deliberately removed from the voter list.

He said that complaints are coming from one place, and it is not known how many more will come. Akhilesh demanded that the Election Commission take suo motu cognizance of this and re-examine the voter list.

He said that the officials themselves are saying that they cannot take action, that they are bound by the orders of the Prime Minister and the BJP. "The BJP has started dishonesty even before 2027"
Akhilesh Yadav said that 2027 is still 427 days away, but the BJP has already begun its game of dishonesty and deceit. He alleged that the BJP, fearing defeat, is misusing administrative power. He said that the public prepares for elections, but the BJP is preparing for deception.

Akhilesh Yadav also took a dig at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that the Chief Minister only shows development in speeches, while the ground reality is completely opposite. He said that the government builds hospitals for advertisements, but in reality, patients do not get medicines and doctors. Akhilesh questioned health services, saying that last week he visited hospitals in Lucknow and Kanpur, where the "condition of patients was pathetic."
