Uttarakhand: Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri temples closed, Badrinath to shut soon; Winter worship sites arranged

The government has made special arrangements for devotees to visit the alternate Char Dham traditional winter worship sites and offer prayers during the winter season. The deities of the Char Dham are seated at these divine locations.

Dehradun: Following the closure of the doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri, and Kedarnath for devotees for the winter season, Badrinath doors will also close on 25 November, repots Dynamite News correspondent.

State Tourism, Religious Affairs, and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj said, 'Following the closure of the doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri, and Kedarnath, Badrinath's doors will also close on 25 November'.

Satpal Maharaj said that the government has made special arrangements for devotees to visit the alternate Char Dham traditional winter worship sites and offer prayers.

The Minister said that as per the arrangements for the Char Dham winter worship sites, Lord Kedarnath will be worshipped at Omkareshwar Temple at Ukhimath; Lord Badrinath will be worshipped at Pandukeshwar (Yogadhyan Badri Temple); Maa Ganga will be worshipped at Gangotri in Mukhba; and Maa Yamunotri at Kharsali. During the winter season, the deities of the Char Dham are seated at these divine locations where devotees can easily go and offer prayers.
