At least eight people were killed in a tragic road accident in Andhra Pradesh after a private bus collided with a tipper lorry and caught fire near Rayavaram in Prakasam district.

Amaravathi: Eight people were burned to death in a tragic road accident in Andhra Pradesh's Prakasam district on Thursday. The accident occurred near Rayavaram when a private travel bus collided with a tipper lorry.
According to police, the impact of the collision was so severe that the bus caught fire immediately, engulfing the entire bus within seconds. The fire spread so rapidly that many passengers did not even have a chance to escape.
Markapuram DSP Harshvardhan Raju stated that the bus was traveling from Jagityala to Kaligiri. The accident occurred near the slab quarries. Following the accident, the bus was completely burned to ashes.
According to the DSP, several passengers are feared to have been burned alive in the accident. Eight people have been confirmed dead so far, while information is being gathered about the condition of the other injured.
Immediately after the accident, police and local administration teams arrived at the scene and began rescue and relief operations. The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. The administration has launched an investigation.
The cause of the accident is currently being investigated. Police say the full situation will only become clear after a detailed investigation.
