New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday signed seven MoUs (Memorandums of Understanding) with various stakeholders in order to promote AI and quantum technologies. Among those included are IBM, Calibo, Vicer, IIT Chennai, and the National Institute of Electronics. These MoUs were a follow-up to the other agreements Naidu signed at Davos last month.
Naidu spent the entire day at Bharat Mandapam meeting several CEOs of tech companies on the sidelines. Speaking at the podium, Naidu said he wanted to make sure that AI is useful for the entire humanity and improves ordinary lives on the education, health, and agriculture fronts.
Naidu is a pioneer in the IT field and has been visiting Davos since 1996. Today, 8% of the global IT workforce belongs to both the Telugu states of AP and Telangana. Among the top CEOs Naidu met today include Sundar Pichai of Google; Sam Altman of OpenAI; Dario Amodei of Anthropic; and Google DeepMind CEO and co-founder Demis Hassabis, among others. He met more than 20 CEOs and explored the possibilities of advancing AI research and its application.
