Hyderabad police intercepted an alleged drug party at a farmhouse in Moinabad on Saturday night, detaining eight people, including a sitting Lok Sabha MP from Andhra Pradesh, according to media reports.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad police have busted an alleged drug party at a farmhouse in the Moinabad area on Saturday night. According to a Telugu daily, officers carried out the raid after receiving a tip-off. Reports suggest that eight people were present at the gathering, including a sitting Lok Sabha member from Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports, police have detained all eight individuals at the scene. While police is not releasing further details, medical and drug tests are being conducted on all attendees. Police trying to determine whether the attendees consumed drugs and how the drugs arrived.
The farmhouse where the alleged drug party was taking place is reportedly owned by a former BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) MLA. Police are also investigating the purpose for which the farmhouse was being used and whether other people are involved.
During the raid, police recovered approximately two grams of cocaine and some other narcotics. Additionally, some weapons and pistols were also recovered from the scene. Following the seizure, police confiscated all the material and sent it for investigation.
According to reports, people present at the party initially resisted the police action. They reportedly fired pistols in the air and later fired three rounds. Additional police forces were subsequently called to the scene to control the situation.
After some effort, police subdued all the people, detained them, and began further investigation.
The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the entire incident. Officials say that complete information related to the incident will be revealed only after the investigation is completed.
