Maniyanpilla Raju arrested in Thiruvananthapuram hit-and-run case

Thiruvananthapuram: Popular Malayalam Actor Maniyanpilla Raju has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that injured two youths seriously near the Trivandrum Club at Vazhuthacaud on Thursday night.

Raju appeared before the Museum Police on Friday where he was arrested. Police recorded his arrest and took him for a medical examination. Later he was granted bail from the Museum Police station.

The accident occurred on 5 February night, when a car of the actor rammed into a Royal Enfield motorcycle carrying two young men. The victims have been identified as Sooraj (20) and Nivedith Krishna (20), both residents of Thiruvananthapuram.
