New Andhra Bhavan at Ashoka Road in Lutyens Delhi

In New Delhi, another Andhra Pradesh Bhavan complex is coming up next to the Present Andhra Bhavan premesis, which is being built by NBCC (National Buildings Construction Corporation).

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh government has signed an MoU with NBCC( India) limited for the planning, design and construction of a new Andhra Bhavan at Ashoka Road in Lutyens Delhi. New Building would come up adjacent to the Present Andhra Pradesh Bhavan Complex.

The upcoming 2.49 lakh Square feet complex will serve as the state's new administrative and hospitality hub, offering modern facilities while celebrating Andhra Pradesh's cultural identity. The project is expected to improve government operations, enhance visitor services and strengthen the state's presence in the heart of the capital.

The project will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 105. 5 crores.It will be executed on a turnkey deposit work basis. The cost excludes GST and PMC( project management consultancy) charges. The NBCC will also undertake annual maintenance of the building for atleast five years after its completion.

The NBCC, a navratna under Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry will be responsible for the planning , design and construction of the project on a turnkey basis. Its scope of work will include preparation of architectural and structural designs, tendering contract management and execution of the project.

NBCC is also responsible for construction of various new buildings and complexes in Lutyens Delhi and the new Andhra Pradesh Bhavan marks another important addition to its portfolio of government infrastructure projects.
