Telangana CM meets US Ambassador, credit:X
New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy urged the US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, to simplify the visa processing, renewal and stamping procedures and provide advance information on changes in Visa regulations to minimise inconvenience to applicants.
During a 30-minute courtesy meeting with the US Ambassador in New Delhi, the Chief Minister also requested an increase in the number of Visas issued to students from Telangana pursuing higher education in the United States. He sought more Visa interview slots, timely visa appointments, and faster processing of applications.

Reddy also raised issues faced by professionals from Telangana working in the United States and discussed the safety and welfare of students from the state studying there. Chief Minister also sought support and cooperation in fostering collaboration between universities and educational institutions in Telangana and the United States.
Chief Minister proposed expanding student exchange programmes, joint research initiatives, innovation partnerships and skill development programmes to strengthen cooperation in education, technology and employment.
Revanth Reddy noted that Telugu is among the fastest-growing Indian languages in the United States and appreciated Ambassador Sergio Gor's understanding of India's history, culture and his interests in Telangana traditions, cuisine and strengths.
