Chennai: Sri Guru Poornima Mahamahotsav 2026 is being celebrated on Sunday at the Chennai centre of the Siddheshwar World Foundation in the divine presence of Siddguruvar Siddheshwar Brahmrishi Gurudev, who arrived from Tirupati.
The grand spiritual gathering has transformed the atmosphere in Chennai into one of devotion, faith and reverence. A large number of devotees from across the world and different parts of India have gathered to immerse themselves in the sacred confluence of spirituality, religion and devotion flowing under the revered guidance of Siddguruvar Siddheshwar Brahmrishi Gurudev.

Devotees are experiencing a profound sense of inner peace, spiritual fulfilment and divine grace during the Sri Guru Poornima Mahamahotsav.
The programme began with the ceremonial worship of the lotus feet of Siddguruvar Siddheshwar Brahmrishi Gurudev as the revered Guru. The atmosphere soon became deeply devotional as bhajans, kirtans, spiritual songs, the Shiv Tandav and several other faith-based performances left the devotees emotionally moved and spiritually uplifted.
Programmes began with the ceremonial worship of Gurudev.
On this special occasion, Siddguruvar Siddheshwar Brahmrishi Gurudev will grant divine darshan and bless all devotees at 10:00 pm today.

The programme began at 4:00 pm on Sunday at The Madras Bungalow, located at 121, Perambur Barracks Road, where the Chennai centre of the Siddheshwar World Foundation is situated. Devotees had started gathering at the venue from the morning to receive spiritual blessings and experience divine peace.
Apart from followers arriving from different parts of the world, several prominent personalities from various fields also attended the grand celebration.
Last year, on July 13, 2025, the Guru Poornima Mahamahotsav was organised by the Vishwa Dharma Chetna Manch at Talkatora Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, also in the divine presence of Siddguruvar Siddheshwar Brahmrishi Gurudev.

Concluding his discourse at that Mahamahotsav, Siddguruvar Siddheshwar Brahmrishi Gurudev had said in Delhi that on the auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima, he was offering devotees the spiritual merit he had earned through years of penance, vows, sacrifice and discipline.
He had further said that he wished to take upon himself the sorrows, hardships and difficulties of all devotees, reflecting the Guru’s boundless compassion, spiritual commitment and selfless devotion towards his followers.
