Tamil Nadu CM Vijay to meet PM Modi today
New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi at 4.30 pm today to discuss matters concerning the state.
The meeting marks the first official visit of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Chief to the national capital after assuming office as Chief Minister earlier this month.

According to sources, Vijay is expected to seek greater financial assistance for welfare and infrastructure projects in the state, along with faster clearances for key developmental initiatives. The ongoing Mekedatu water dispute is also likely to figure prominently in the discussions.
Sources further said the Chief Minister may also meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to push for additional financial backing for ongoing projects in Tamil Nadu.
During his Delhi visit, Vijay is also expected to hold meetings with senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
