Date of Dev Diwali
According to the Hindu calendar, Dev Diwali is celebrated on Kartik Purnima. This year, this date will be from 10:36 pm on November 4th to 6:48 pm on November 5th. Due to the Udiya Tithi, this festival will be celebrated on November 5th.

Follow these steps on the night of Dev Diwali

1. Lamp in the North
On the night of Dev Diwali, be sure to light a lamp in the north direction of your home. Goddess Lakshmi herself resides in this direction. It is said that lighting a lamp in the north direction on Dev Diwali pleases Goddess Lakshmi and alleviates financial difficulties. Furthermore, lighting a lamp in this direction also pleases Lord Kubera.

2. Donation
On the night of Dev Diwali, Lord Vishnu rests in the Kshirsagar (ocean of milk). After the evening prayers, donating yellow clothes, yellow grains, bananas, jaggery, sandalwood, saffron, or yellow items is considered very beneficial. You can also donate food or money to a poor or needy person, depending on your capacity.

3. Tulsi
On the evening of Dev Diwali, be sure to light a ghee lamp in front of the Tulsi plant. Then, circumambulate the Tulsi plant three times and chant the mantras of Goddess Lakshmi. In the evening, while worshipping Lord Vishnu, you can also offer him Tulsi leaves. Planting a new Tulsi plant in your home on this day is also considered auspicious. It is said that these simple steps on Diwali can transform your home into a paradise.
