Prayagraj: A huge crowd of devotees has gathered at the Sangam on the auspicious occasion of Maghi Purnima. Devotees have been taking holy baths and offering prayers in the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati since early morning.
Devotees performing Kalpavas during the month of Magh will depart for their homes today with the holy bath of Maghi Purnima. By 6 a.m., approximately 6 million devotees had taken a holy dip in the Triveni, attaining virtue. This is the fifth bathing festival of the Magh Mela, and with the Purnima, the resolutions of the Kalpavasis will also be fulfilled.

The auspicious time for bathing on Maghi Purnima will continue from morning till late night. Devotees are taking a dip in the Triveni, praying for the happiness and prosperity of their homes and families. The administration estimates that 50 to 70 lakh devotees will bathe at 24 ghats, and this number could even reach 10 million.
Satyanarayan Katha will be organized in the camps of Kalpvasis on Sunday. Prior to this, continuous recitation of Ramcharitmanas was going on in many camps, which will conclude today with a Bhandara.
