New Delhi: Virat Kohli produced another memorable IPL innings as Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets in the 57th match of IPL 2026. Chasing a target of 193, Kohli remained unbeaten on 105 off 60 deliveries and guided RCB home with five balls to spare.

Former Australia captain Aaron Finch lauded Kohli’s innings after the match and described it as a perfect example of how a top-order batter should approach a run chase.

Speaking on JioHotstar, Finch said Kohli’s ability to read the conditions early and settle into the innings quickly was remarkable. He added that avoiding risk while maintaining momentum is what separates elite batters from the rest.

Finch also pointed out that the innings came at an important moment for Kohli, who was under pressure after a series of low scores. According to the former Australian batter, Kohli responded in champion fashion by producing a composed and match-winning performance.

RCB Continue Strong IPL Campaign
