New Delhi: Indian chess rising star and Woman Grandmaster Divya Deshmukh was honoured with the Dynamite News Young India Country Award at a ceremony held in the National Capital by the Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant.
On this occasion, CJI Surya Kant as the Chief Guest lauded Divya Deshmukh’s chess journey and said that achieving international success at such a young age is exemplary. He said that Divya’s hard work, discipline and dedication have today become an inspiration for the youth of the country. CJI expressed hope that even greater achievements would come from her in the future.

The Chief Justice also hailed Dynamite News for its initiative to provide a platform for young talents. He said that such platforms instil confidence in the new generation to move forward. He praised the award jury for selecting talented individuals from different fields.

The four-member jury constituted for the Dynamite News Young India Country Award included Justice Ranjana Desai, Sanjay Kothari, Prof. Chinmaya Pandya and Dr M.C. Mishra.

The jury selected Manu Bhaker, Ruma Devi and Divya Deshmukh for the awards. Each award carries a citation, a memento, a shawl and a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.
