Ahmedabad: The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad witnessed a batting masterclass as the Rajasthan Royals (RR) posted a huge total of 210/6 against the Gujarat Titans (GT). After winning the toss and choosing to bat, the Royals never looked back, putting the Titans' bowlers under pressure from the very first ball.

Explosive Start by the Youngsters

The innings began with a bang as Yashasvi Jaiswal and the 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi took on the pace of Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada. The duo added 74 runs for the first wicket in just 6.2 overs.

Sooryavanshi showed no fear, smashing 31 off just 18 balls before falling to Rashid Khan. Jaiswal, however, continued his steady knock, reaching a well-made 55 off 36 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes, providing the perfect platform for the middle order.

The Dhruv Jurel Show

The star of the night was undoubtedly Dhruv Jurel. Coming in at number three, Jurel played with incredible maturity and power. He anchored the middle overs and then exploded in the final stages of the game. Jurel’s 75 off 42 balls was a blend of smart rotating of strike and massive hitting, as he cleared the ropes 5 times. His partnership with Jaiswal and later with Shimron Hetmyer ensured that the run rate stayed above 10 throughout the innings.

Titans Fight Back with Wickets

Gujarat Titans tried their best to pull things back. Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2 for 42, including the big wicket of Jaiswal. Young Ashok Sharma also impressed by removing the dangerous Hetmyer, thanks to a brilliant diving catch by Mohammed Siraj.

Siraj himself had a tough night but redeemed himself slightly by dismissing Jurel in the final over. Despite these breakthroughs, the Titans could not stop the Royals from crossing the 200-run mark.

The Final Finish

Ravindra Jadeja added a quick boundary on the final ball to take the score to 210. With a target of 211 runs, the Titans face a mountain to climb.

Without their regular captain Shubman Gill, the home team will need something special from Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan to chase this down. The Royals' bowlers, led by Jofra Archer, will be confident in defending this massive total on a fast Ahmedabad track.
