India clinch historic sixth Under-19 World Cup title
New Delhi: India crowned themselves champions of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 after a dominant 100-run victory over England in the final.
The triumph marked India’s sixth Under-19 World Cup title, further extending their record as the most successful team in the tournament’s history. Powered by a breathtaking batting display and a disciplined bowling effort, the Indian team outclassed England on the biggest stage.
The final was played in Harare, Zimbabwe, where India opted to bat first and delivered a historic performance. The Indian team piled up a massive 411 runs, the highest total ever recorded in an Under-19 World Cup final. This monumental score immediately put England under immense pressure and set the tone for a one-sided contest.
The foundation of India’s victory was laid by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who produced one of the greatest innings in Under-19 World Cup history. Batting with fearless intent, Suryavanshi smashed 175 runs off just 80 balls.

Chasing a daunting target of 412, England never truly settled. They lost wickets regularly and found themselves seven down for 177 runs. However, Caleb Faulkner showed great resilience and determination, scoring a valiant century.
He struck 115 runs off 67 balls in an attempt to keep England’s hopes alive. Despite his brave effort, England were eventually bowled out for 311, falling 100 runs short of the target and extending their title drought to 28 years.
