New Delhi: Mumbai Indians’ injury concerns deepened on Tuesday after wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock and all-rounder Raj Angad Bawa were ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2026 due to injuries.

The five-time champions, who are already out of the playoff race, confirmed that both players will continue rehabilitation under the supervision of the franchise’s medical team.

De Kock Suffers Wrist Injury

According to the franchise, Quinton de Kock sustained a tendon injury in his left wrist ahead of Mumbai Indians’ home match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The South African batter had been an important part of the squad this season, especially in the top order.

Medical staff have advised him to continue recovery at home while remaining in contact with the Mumbai Indians support team.

Raj Angad Bawa Ruled Out With Thumb Injury

Young all-rounder Raj Angad Bawa has also been sidelined after suffering a ligament tear in his right thumb during Mumbai Indians’ clash against Punjab Kings.

The injury has forced him out of the remainder of the tournament, adding to the team’s growing injury list in an already disappointing campaign.

Mumbai Indians’ Injury Problems Continue

Mumbai Indians have struggled with player availability throughout the season. Earlier, the franchise also lost Mitchell Starc and Atharva Ankolekar to injuries.
