Srinagar: Kashmir Sub Area Cricket Tournament 2025, organised by the Indian Army in association with the NGO "Saving the Future," successfully concluded at Chattabal Military Garrison, Srinagar, on 02 Nov 2025.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of a high-energy tournament that showcased the team spirit of 08 participating teams from across Srinagar City, demonstrating exceptional talent and skill throughout the competition.

Tournament Overview

Played over seven days, more than 700 spectators celebrated the game of cricket by cheering for their favourite teams and supporting local youth. The final match was played between Chattabal Spartans and Rainawari Wonder Boys, with Rainawari Wonder Boys emerging as winners by eight wickets and lifting the trophy in a fiercely competitive game.

Chief Guests and Felicitations

GOC Kashmir Sub Area graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and MS Azeeta Qureshi, KAS, Under Secretary, Lieutenant Governor's Grievance Cell JKUT, attended as Guest of Honour. All the participants and winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest on the occasion, who lauded the enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by all teams.

Youth Engagement and Sportsmanship

The event affirms the commitment of the Chinar Corps to meeting the aspirations of the youth of Kashmir and providing opportunities to them through sports for a vibrant and happy Kashmir. The Kashmir Sub Area Cricket Tournament 2025 also exemplified the spirit of “Nation Building through Sports.”

The sporting event achieved its objectives of fostering youth engagement, promoting harmony through cricket, and strengthening societal interaction and cooperation.
