Lucknow: Rising star of Indian cricket team Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party's young MP Priya Saroj got engaged in a grand ceremony on Sunday. The ceremony was held at Lucknow's prestigious Hotel Centrum where many well-known personalities from the world of politics and cricket participated. Rinku and Priya exchanged rings in the presence of their family and close friends and took the first step towards the beginning of a new life, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The special thing about this engagement ceremony was that it witnessed a unique confluence of political and sports personalities. Samajwadi Party's national president Akhilesh Yadav and his wife MP Dimple Yadav were specially present on this occasion and blessed the newlyweds. Apart from this, SP's national general secretary Prof Ram Gopal Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan, MP Pushpendra Saroj, Iqra Hasan and Union Minister Kamlesh Paswan also marked their presence in the ceremony.
From the cricket world, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla, Uttar Pradesh Ranji team captain Aryan Juyal and former Indian fast bowler Praveen Kumar congratulated Rinku and wished her all the best for this new chapter.
Around 300 guests attended this grand event which started at around 1 pm. The ceremony is being described as a beautiful blend of family traditions and modern grandeur. A special banquet was arranged for the guests, in which North Indian cuisine as well as special sweets enthralled everyone.

The wedding date of Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj has also become public now. The couple will tie the knot on 18 November 2025 at the famous Taj Hotel in Varanasi. Preparations are being made to make this occasion grand and historic as well. According to the family members, this wedding ceremony will be conducted with traditional customs and modern style.
Rinku Singh is known for his explosive batting in the Indian cricket team, while Priya Saroj is a young and influential MP. Priya is the daughter of late Balkumar Saroj, a stalwart of the Samajwadi Party, and is an MP from Machhlishahr (Jaunpur). The two met a few years ago during a social event, from where this relationship started and now has turned into a beautiful bond.
