Jaiswal’s 77 Powers RR to Big Win Over MI (Image Source: Internet)
Guwahati: In this match, the Rajasthan Royals went on the offensive right from the very start. They racked up 22 runs in the very first over, a blistering start that set the entire tone for the match. Yashasvi Jaiswal wasted no time, unleashing a barrage of fours and sixes that left the Mumbai bowlers with absolutely no opportunity to regroup.
In just three overs, the team had already crossed the 50-run mark. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi provided excellent support, playing some impressive big shots of his own. Mumbai's bowlers—such as Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult—lost their line and length, a lapse that Rajasthan capitalized on to the fullest.
Even Mumbai's star bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, could not escape this onslaught; his overs, too, were peppered with sixes. Although Hardik Pandya managed to bowl an economical over, the rest of the bowling attack was taken to the cleaners.
In this match, Jaiswal once again proved just how much he relishes playing against Mumbai.
Had he faced a few more deliveries, we might well have witnessed yet another century.
Rajasthan's aggressive batting pace remained undiminished right up until the final over. Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer also contributed quick runs, helping the team post a formidable total of 150/3 in just 11 overs—a target that, in such a short match, appeared almost insurmountable.
Rajasthan's Brilliance in Numbers
These statistics clearly demonstrate that the team maintained relentless pressure throughout every phase of the match.
